Leon Lake France

French carp lakes with carp to 85lb+.

Leon Lake is a 30 acre big fish water with carp to 85lb+.

Facilities & Information
Leon Lake is a 30 acre former gravel pit situated in the picturesque countryside of Northeastern France. The lake was originally excavated 60 years ago and has matured into one of the regions flagship big carp waters. Located adjacent to a nearby river and surrounded by 50 acres of farm land, Leon Lake makes for a relaxing and comfortable fishing environment.

The lake hosts 14 double swims, each commanding a large area of the 30 acre water. You’ll find an array of depths varying from 8ft (2.5 meters) to 20ft (6 meters) and there’s an abundance of features including islands, shallow bars, plateaus and more.

Leon lake is recommended to experienced anglers. The lake is rich in natural food, including cray fish, which is why the carp have grown to their huge sizes. It’s estimated the lake contains 290 – 300 carp with roughly 100 over 45lb’s (20kg), half a dozen over 65lb’s (30kg+) including a 77lb common and the lake record is a 81lb (37kg) common.

On site you’ll find a toilet, shower, secure parking, sockets for recharging batteries and freezer facilities. There is easy vehicle access all around the lake which makes the task of setting up or changing swims that little bit easier.
