Family Carp Fishing Holidays in France.

Barbret Lake is a 1.2 acre venue set in the picturesque countryside of Brittany, Northwestern France and contains approximately 85 carp to 60lb.

Facilities & Information

Barbret Lakes hold a large stock of mirror carp and common carp with approximately thirty 20s, twenty 30s, twenty 40s, seven 50s and three 60s, three Catfish to approx 80lb, Grass Carp, Pike and Tench.

The lake is 1.2 acres in size, is spring fed and has depths ranging from 4tf to 9ft in the deepest areas with key lake features including gravel bars, margins and a small island. Weed and all snags have been removed.

Accommodation
The cabin is ideal for a group of anglers or the whole family and accommodates 4 people and offers 2 bedrooms.

There is a solar heated, family size outdoor pool, ideal for relaxing on those long sunny days. The pool is 24ft x 12ft x 4ft. The pool is open from May to September, weather permitting. A decked area is fenced in and surrounds half the pool, it has 2 sunbeds and parasol. The depth of the pool is a constant 4ft, with no deep or shallow end.

A fully equipped kitchen includes cooker and hob, mini oven and microwave. All the pots, pans and cooking utensils you need for your home cooked meals.

The lounge has a log burner for those chilly evenings. The lounge has a Smart TV for those of you who want to keep up with UK television. WIFI is available free of charge and there are both UK and French plug sockets. A shower, toilet facilities and wash basin are on site. All bed linen and towels are provided but we do ask you to bring swimming towels with you.

Caravan Accommodation

There is a 2 birth caravan available if your party requires further sleeping accommodation.

There is a Glamping site is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, relax, re-charge your batteries, unwind and simply enjoy nature.

Food Package

Freshly home cooked food package is available as an option and there are three food package options to choose from. These are Breakfast only, Half board or full board options.

Breakfast only – from £59.50 GBP per person per week.

Half board, breakfast and dinner – from £168.00 GBP per person per week.

Full board, breakfast, lunch and dinner – from £200.00 GBP per person per week.

Full English Breakfast – egg, bacon, sausage, beans, toast with either tea or coffee.

Egg on toast – Either scrambled or fried on brown or white toast with either tea or coffee.

Omelette – a choice of cheese, ham, onions and/or mushrooms with either tea or coffee.

Beans on toast – On brown or white toast with either tea or coffee.

Bacon or Sausage sandwich – On brown or white bread with either tea or coffee.

Map & Directions

Located in Brittany, Lake Barbret is easily accessible from the main ferry ports in France. It is approximately 1 hour 25 minutes drive from St Malo, 2 hours 10 minutes drive from Caen and 5 hours 15 minutes drive from Calais.

Rules

1. No keepnets
2. Provided carp cradles to be used at all times
3. No barbed hooks
4. No main line braid
5. No lead core leaders of any kind 
6. No fixed leads
7. No Korda goo
8. Absolutely no sacks allowed at any time without permission
9. Maximum number of 6 rods in the lake at any one time with a maximum of 3 rods per person
10. No fish are to be introduced or remove from the lake
11. Bivvys allowed with permission – No tents
12. Only the fishery provided landing nets, weight slings and carp cradles should be used
13. No nuts to be brought into the fishery.  Please use Freezer bait and boilies only.
14. Line over 15lb only when fishing for carp
15. The booking name is responsible for his/her party and for any damages caused.
16. The management are not responsible for theft or damage to personal property.
17. The cutting of trees is forbidden or foliage
18. Building fires is not permitted, a BBQ is provided
19. Please use the toilet provided and not surroundings. All litter is to be placed in bins provided.
20. No swimming in the lake is allowed.
21. No refund returned for early departures.
22. Swims must be left clean.
