In order for you to understand our rules and regulations you must first be aware that the fish, whatever species, always come first as do all wildlife and surroundings. The fish contained in Kingfisher Pools give pleasure to you anglers and we see no reason why their existence should be threatened, or harm come to them in anyway. The following are strict rules, and checks will be made during your holiday to make sure they are carried out to the letter. We make no apologies as any reasonable angler will understand.

1. Barbless hooks only for ALL species including catfish. Never use treble hooks.
2. No sacking of ANY fish.
3. No particle baits, nuts or dog food supplement is allowed. Trout pellets, sweetcorn, luncheon meat or pedigree chum mixer (used as floaters) are acceptable without problem.
4. No fixed leads of any sort. So called “safe” rigs are fine.
5. Minimum size landing net must be 42″ and knotless.
6. Minimum 12lb BS line for carp or 25lb BS for cat fishing. No restriction on small coarse fishing.
7. No bent hooks or wire traces of any sort allowed.
8. No angler is to be more than 10 metres from their rods if they are in the water.
9. Never leave litter, including line, hooks, bottles or cigarette butts. Use dustbins provided.
10. Unhooking mats and weigh slings are left at Kingfisher Pools for the use of all anglers, please use these at all times when handling fish, and advise us as soon as possible if any are faulty.
11. All wildlife has total priority in and around the lakes.
12. No swimming in the lake.
13. 3 rod maximum limit per person max 12 rods per lake. ONLY ONE HOOK PER LINE EVEN FOR CATFISH.
14. No children under the age of 16 are allowed to night fish on their own at the lake. At all times a responsible adult must accompany them and have them sitting next to them.
15. Never remove any over hanging branches from trees.
16. No boats allowed on any lake except for our own rowing boat. Bait boats are allowed without restriction. By signing our booking form you agree no liability can or will be placed on Erik Kuiper or Annemarie Zwaagman t/a Kingfisher Pools for any boating accident.
17. At least once during your holiday we reserve the right for one line to be removed from the water to check all rules are being adhered to. We deem the party leader (whoever signed the booking form) to be responsible for their party. Any breaking or bending of the rules will lead to the instant termination of the whole groups holiday without recompense.
18. Never bivvy up on the grass by the chalet. Access must be observed at all times.
19. We reserve the right of refusal to allow inferior quality boilies being used on our lake. Please check with us.
20. NEVER stand up whilst holding any fish. Anyone seen standing with a fish will be asked to leave the venue, and we reserve the right to allow them to re-book.
21. Always return fish to the lake by using the floating weigh slings that are provided. Always ensure that unhooking mats are wet before placing fish on them as they can become very hot and severely damage any fish.
22. Carp clinic should be carried by every angler. Please treat any fish you see with sores or scales missing.
23. No barbed hooks are allowed onto Kingfisher Pools even in a tackle box. Barbless hooks means barbless. No micro barb will be entertained and fishing will be stopped for the whole party if any member is found to be breaking this rule.
24. All naked flames are banned at Kingfisher Pools, so NO BBQ’s are allowed. Never bring candles as these constitute a serious fire hazard. Never bring a generator.
25. Braid as main line is not allowed. Braid may be used only as a hook line, or for markers.
26. Please note these rules are subject to change. Notification at least 28 days prior to departure will apply to tackle method changes. Notification of minor points will be at the time of your arrival. When in doubt please ask.

FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL

1. Always park your vehicle in allocated parking area.
2. Never take bedding from the accommodation to the lakes, you will forfeit your breakage deposit.
3. Never wander on other people’s property and always obey the countryside code.
4. Never leave litter and always use the bins provided at the accommodation.
5. We allow glass bottles lakeside but it is your responsibility to dispose of these bottles at the bottle banks, NEVER put these in the rubbish sacks, this will forfeit your breakage deposit.
6. Only persons registered with Kingfisher Pools are allowed at the accommodation or lakeside. And finally no undue noise please.

REMEMBER

NEVER VISIT KINGFISHER POOLS BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR ALLOCATED HOLIDAY PERIOD. EACH ANGLER HAS THE TOTAL RIGHT TO PRIVACY DURING THEIR STAY AND THIS SHOULD BE RESPECTED. PARTIES CAN ENTER THE VENUE ANYTIME AFTER 2PM ON THE SATURDAY OF ARRIVAL AND MUST LEAVE BY 9AM ON THE SATURDAY OF DEPARTURE.
